BabagaNewz.com, JFL Media's Web site for Jewish middle school students and teachers, and Nefesh B'Nefesh, an organization that promotes Aliyah, are asking students in grades 4-7 to create a logo for one of Nefesh B'Nefesh's aliyah airplanes. The grand prize winner will have his/her design reproduced on a Nefesh B'Nefesh plane and will receive roundtrip airfare and accommodations for two to Israel for a four-day/three-night trip in the summer of 2009.
The deadline is Monday, Feb. 5, 2009. It is open to students in the United States and Canada.
Students can download an entry form from babaganewz. com/destinationisrael/ entryform.pdf and mail the form and their design to Destination Israel, c/o BabagaNewz, P.O. Box 9129, 90 Oak St., Newton, MA 02464.
In 2007, Alexis Dworkin, a student at the Har Zion Congregation religious school in Scottsdale, won the contest.
