The Israel Center for Educational Innovation (ICEI) is looking to hire a freelance English-language writer to join our Resource Development Team. ICEI operates whole-school turnaround programs in underperforming Jewish and Arab elementary schools throughout Israel. Our mission is to transform school culture, leadership, and instruction so that every child develops strong literacy and learning skills, setting them up for higher academic success and a better future.<\/p>\n
The Role:<\/p>\n
We\u2019re looking for a skilled English writer to translate program data, outcomes, and stories into polished donor reports, grant renewals, and newsletters. This is a detail-driven, donor-facing writing role for someone who can turn raw material into clear, compelling narrative. This remote, part-time position averages an estimated 20 hours per month, with occasional hours in the field or at events. The role will report to the Deputy Director of Development.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Draft donor reports and grant renewal applications for ICEI\u2019s funders and donors, incorporating program outcome data and stories from the field<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Interview ICEI program and data staff (in Hebrew or Arabic) to gather information where needed<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Write quarterly newsletters, adapting material developed for donor and grant reports<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Take on additional writing projects as needed, based on ICEI\u2019s evolving development and communications needs<\/p>\n
This is a part-time freelance position. Compensation is hourly or on a monthly retainer, according to the candidate\u2019s experience and rates.<\/p>\n
