Position Location and Scope
\nTeaching in three schools in the Merhavim area.
\nTeaching six student groups.
\nEach group participates in one weekly lesson lasting approximately one and a half hours.
\nPreferred position scope: approximately 40% position, two days per week.
\nTuesday is a fixed and mandatory working day.
\nThe additional working day will be determined later.
\nExpected working hours: 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM, depending on school assignment
\nThe position may be divided between two teachers at approximately 20% each; however, there is a strong preference for one teacher to lead the entire program.
\nStart Date: September 1, 2026
\nTraining Date: August 25, 2026
\nEmployment Period: 2026 – 2027 Academic Year (September 1, 2026 \u2013 July 6, 2027)<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities
\nTeach TALMA’s Debate Program to six student groups across three schools in the Merhavim area.
\nStrengthen students’ spoken English through discussion, argumentation, presenting positions, group dialogue, and public speaking practice.
\nDeliver engaging, creative lessons using a TALMA provided curriculum and tailor lessons to students’ proficiency levels.
\nManage the classroom and create an active, safe, and participatory learning environment.
\nAdapt lesson content to the needs of each group and to the schools’ schedules.
\nWork collaboratively with school staff and TALMA’s professional team.
\nParticipate in training sessions, professional development meetings, and staff meetings as required.
\nMonitor students’ progress and provide ongoing feedback.
\nParticipate in planning and leading the end-of-year culminating event, with the goal of holding a debate competition between the participating groups.
\nRequired Experience and Skills
\nFluent English speaker.
\nBasic conversational Hebrew.
\nExperience teaching or instructing students.
\nStrong classroom management skills.
\nAbility to deliver content in a creative, clear, and engaging manner.
\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple groups and educational settings simultaneously.
\nAbility to build positive relationships with students and educational staff.
\nResponsibility, flexibility, initiative, and strong planning and organizational skills.<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications
\nFamiliarity with debate or experience facilitating debates and discussions.
\nExperience developing spoken English skills.
\nExperience teaching in schools.
\nExperience organizing student competitions or culminating events.
\nAdditional Requirements
\nValid driver’s license and access to a vehicle – required, in order to travel between schools during the school day.
\nRegular availability on Tuesdays.
\nAvailability for one additional workday between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
\nAvailability to attend the training on August 25, 2026.
\nAvailability to begin work on September 1, 2026.
\nWillingness to commit to working throughout the entire 2026\u20132027 academic year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
