This role includes reviewing case documentation and preparing clear, accurate appeal letters. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who takes initiative and is either experienced in, or eager to learn about healthcare denials, medical policies and coding guidelines.<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities include:<\/strong><br \/>\nReviewing case documents and denial information<br \/>\nReviewing relevant insurance policies<br \/>\nResearching coding and billing guidelines<br \/>\nFlagging missing information and obtaining additional documentation when needed<br \/>\nDrafting appeal letters<br \/>\nChecking work for accuracy, grammar, and completeness<br \/>\nMeeting deadlines<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019re looking for someone with:<\/strong><br \/>\nPrior experience in medical billing\/medical coding\/denial appeals, or administrative writing is preferred.<br \/>\nStrong attention to detail.<br \/>\nGood writing, grammar, and editing skills.<br \/>\nProficient with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PDFs, email, and Microsoft Teams.
