Fogel CFO & Management Services, a fractional Finance Department firm, is looking to hire a Finance Operations & Budgeting Lead to cover the needs of our growing list of clients. If you have real, hands-on experience in Israeli finance, are organized, responsible, have incredible attention to detail, and have an easy but professional way with people, we would love to have you join our team.<\/p>\n

OVERVIEW:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be our go-to expert on Israeli banks, financial institutions, and bureaucracy across a diverse client base.
\n\u2022 Build and own budgets, cash flows, and projections for businesses and nonprofits.
\n\u2022 Serve as a guide and resource to other team members (one of several, not the only lifeline).<\/p>\n

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n

Budgeting, Cash Flow & Projections:
\n\u2022 Build budgets, cash flow forecasts, and projections (often starting from imperfect client data).
\n\u2022 Prepare budget vs. actuals and forecast accuracy analysis, and explain the variances in plain language.
\n\u2022 Run scenarios (hiring plans, fundraising and grant timing, FX exposure, etc.) to support client decisions.
\n\u2022 Present financials to client leadership, translating numbers into decisions.<\/p>\n

Israeli Banking & Institutions:
\n\u2022 Manage client relationships and communication with Israeli financial institutions (account openings, signatory changes, credit lines, guarantees, foreign currency accounts, etc.).
\n\u2022 Work comfortably within online platforms and payment and payroll processes.
\n\u2022 Navigate Israeli bureaucratic institutions, including the Tax Authority (Income Tax and VAT), Bituach Leumi, and the Registrar of Companies \/ Amutot.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with clients\u2019 external accountants and auditors on reporting and year-end.<\/p>\n

Team Support & Mentorship:
\n\u2022 Be an available resource to team members on banking, budgeting, and Israeli process questions.
\n\u2022 Review team work products before they reach clients.
\n\u2022 Help document processes so know-how lives in our systems (not just in someone\u2019s head).<\/p>\n

Leadership Support:
\n\u2022 Take over and assist on higher-level projects and deliverables.
\n\u2022 Personally manage a portfolio of clients from start to finish.<\/p>\n

Job requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 This position is NOT a back-office position. This person will need to communicate and work well with others and work under deadlines.
\n\u2022 7+ years of hands-on finance experience in Israel preferred (e.g., controller, finance manager, FP&A, or finance-team lead). Strong candidates with 5+ years will be considered.
\n\u2022 Proven, independent experience building budgets, cash flows, and projections.
\n\u2022 Deep familiarity with Israeli banks and their systems, and regulatory processes.
\n\u2022 Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
\n\u2022 Experience with Israeli bookkeeping software (e.g., Hashavshevet, Priority, Rivhit) \u2013 Strong Advantage
\n\u2022 Experience guiding or mentoring others \u2013 Strong Advantage
\n\u2022 Experience with nonprofits (amutot) and\/or startups \u2013 Advantage
\n\u2022 Mother-tongue level of written\/spoken English; high level of written\/spoken Hebrew.
\n\u2022 Organized, shows initiative, works independently, and sees projects through to completion (across multiple clients at once).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
