We are looking for an<\/span><\/span> Accounting & Tax Associate<\/span><\/span> to join our Israel<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>based team.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
This role is designed for someone who already has some practical accounting or tax <\/span><\/span>experience and wants broader exposure, greater responsibility, and the opportunity to <\/span><\/span>continue developing technically.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
We are flexible regarding the exact level of the candidate. Someone may come from a tax <\/span><\/span>background, an accounting\/bookkeeping background, or a combination of both.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
Depending on your experience and strengths, responsibilities may include:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Preparation and review support for U.S. tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>S, <\/span><\/span>1120, 1040, 990, and related filings<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Preparation of tax workpapers and supporting schedules<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Bookkeeping and general ledger accounting<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Bank and credit card reconciliations<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Journal entries, accruals, and account analysis<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Monthly and year<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>end close procedures<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Financial statement preparation<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> General ledger cleanup and troubleshooting<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Real estate and property accounting<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Intercompany accounting<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Multi<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>entity consolidations<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Researching accounting and tax issues<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Communicating with clients and assisting with information requests<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Learning and working across multiple accounting and tax platforms<\/span><\/span><\/span>
We do not expect every candidate to have experience in every one of these areas.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
The role can be shaped around the strengths of the right person while also providing <\/span><\/span>opportunities to expand into areas they have not previously worked in.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Qualifications<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Formal accounting education required<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> 1 year of<\/span><\/span> accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, or tax experience<\/span><\/span> required<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Strong understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, and financial<\/span><\/span>
statements<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Ability to understand and analyze accounting activity rather than simply process <\/span><\/span>transactions<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Strong attention to detail<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Desire to continue developing technically<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Comfortable learning new accounting and tax concepts<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> Ability to work collaboratively while gradually taking greater ownership of<\/span><\/span>
assignments<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, U.S. taxation, or professional accounting software is <\/span><\/span>helpful.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Experience with any particular software package is<\/span><\/span> not required<\/span><\/span>. We will train the right <\/span><\/span>candidate on the systems we use.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
CPA licensure or pursuit of a CPA license is not required.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

We are open to both<\/span><\/span> full<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>time and part<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>time candidates<\/span><\/span>, provided the candidate is <\/span><\/span>available<\/span><\/span> five days per week<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Because our firm serves U.S. clients, occasional evening meetings or calls will be <\/span><\/span>necessary. This will not necessarily be a daily requirement, but candidates should have the <\/span><\/span>flexibility to accommodate U.S. business hours when needed.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Location<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
This is primarily an<\/span><\/span> in<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>person position in<\/span><\/span> Jerusalem<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
