Position Overview:<\/strong>
\nWe\u2019re seeking a full-time, in-person Operations & Community Manager to help lead Chabad on the Coast through its next stage of growth. This is a key organizational role for an organized, strategic, and mission-driven professional who can build systems, manage people, strengthen operations, and support the continued growth of our community.
\nWorking closely with the Rabbi\/Executive Director, this position will serve as a key organizational leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff and volunteers, developing internal systems, and supporting fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys turning vision into action, creating structure in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring that the organization runs smoothly and effectively.
\nAs Chabad on the Coast continues to grow, this role will play a critical part in allowing the Rabbi to focus on community leadership, education, and spiritual growth while ensuring that the operational and organizational needs of the community are managed with excellence.
\nThis is an in-person role based in our Tel Aviv office, requiring regular presence on-site and occasional evening and Friday\/Erev Chag availability.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nLeadership & Organizational Management<\/span>
\nOversee the day-to-day operations of Chabad on the Coast, ensuring programs, projects, and organizational priorities are executed effectively.
\nServe as the primary operational partner to the Rabbi, helping translate vision into action and ensuring follow-through on key initiatives.
\nManage, support, and provide direction to staff, volunteers, and future team members, including setting priorities and ensuring clear accountability.
\nEstablish clear workflows, systems, and processes to improve organizational efficiency and scalability.
\nLead regular team coordination and help foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven work environment.
\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff and volunteers as the organization grows.
\nDevelopment & Fundraising<\/span>
\nSupport the Rabbi and leadership team in executing fundraising initiatives and maintaining strong donor relationships.
\nManage donor engagement systems, including stewardship, communication, tracking, and follow-up.
\nCoordinate annual fundraising campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, and donor outreach efforts.
\nSupport grant applications, reporting, and development opportunities.
\nMaintain accurate donor records and strengthen CRM systems.
\nHelp create sustainable fundraising processes to support the continued growth of Chabad on the Coast.
\nOperations & Administration<\/span>
\nOversee organizational systems, including facilities, vendors, technology, purchasing, and general administration.
\nManage operational planning, budgets, and resource allocation.
\nEnsure the Community Coordinator and other team members have the tools, priorities, and support needed to succeed.
\nIdentify areas for improvement and implement solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
\nOversee the successful execution of community programs, events, and organizational initiatives, ensuring that responsibilities and timelines are clearly defined and followed.
\nCommunity & Program Support<\/span>
\nPartner with the team to ensure a consistent, welcoming, and high-quality experience for community members and visitors.
\nProvide strategic oversight and support for major programs, events, and community initiatives.
\nHelp evaluate programs and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong>
\n3-5+ years of experience in operations, nonprofit management, organizational leadership, fundraising, project management, or a related field.
\nProven ability to manage projects, systems, and people in a fast-paced environment.
\nStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, and community members.
\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
\nStrategic thinker who can also take initiative and execute day-to-day tasks when needed.
\nExperience supporting fundraising, donor engagement, or development activities is a plus.
\nStrong technology skills: experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, WordPress and AI\/digital tools
\nFluent English (spoken and written); ability to communicate fluently in Hebrew in a professional setting. Additional languages are a plus.<\/p>\n
