We are looking for an experienced Grant Writer \/ Foundation Relations Consultant to help expand our foundation funding opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who also has existing connections with foundations, family foundations, philanthropic advisors, or institutional funders.
\nThis role includes identifying potential funders, making strategic introductions, writing compelling proposals, and helping manage the grant process from outreach through reporting.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/strong> Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong> Compensation will be project-based.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Identify foundation prospects that align with our mission and programs.
\n\u2022 Use existing foundation relationships to help open funding opportunities.
\n\u2022 Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications.
\n\u2022 Work with leadership to gather program details, budgets, impact data, and funding needs.
\n\u2022 Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines, submissions, follow-ups, and reporting dates.
\n\u2022 Assist with grant reports, renewal requests, and stewardship communication.
\n\u2022 Help strengthen the organization\u2019s foundation outreach strategy.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Proven experience writing successful grant proposals.
\n\u2022 Existing relationships with foundations or philanthropic contacts.
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising and foundation relations.
\n\u2022 Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to communicate mission, impact, and urgency clearly.
