We are looking for someone who embraces best pedagogical practices, is well-versed in NGSS standards, and actively contributes to the life and culture of the school beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nTeach HS Physics and AP Physics classes, including AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: E &amp; M.<br \/>\nActively engage and contribute to our HS Advisory or iBlock learning programs.<br \/>\nGive timely and actionable feedback to improve student learning.<br \/>\nMentor, evaluate and assess students.<br \/>\nEffectively collaborate with students, teachers and parents<br \/>\nFoster a positive classroom learning environment<br \/>\nPlan and supervise extra-curricular activities<\/p>\n<p>Child Protection<br \/>\nWBAIS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Aligned with the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection, we hold ourselves to high standards of effective recruiting practices, with particular attention to child protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Expectations:<\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful candidates will perform each essential responsibility, in addition to the following:<br \/>\nClassroom facilitation \u2013 effectively orchestrate a class with high learning impact by incorporating best practices.<br \/>\nCurriculum development \u2013 contribute to the development and documentation of curricular documents (unit plans, assessments, standards documentation, etc.).<br \/>\nCommunication skills \u2013 proactively communicate to integrate all community stakeholders into the learning process.<br \/>\nClassroom technology \u2013 be familiar with educational technology such as Google Suite and online learning management systems.<\/p>\n<p>Priority will be given to candidates who have experience:<br \/>\nServing as an advisor\/pastoral care role<br \/>\nWorking with students with varying levels of English language fluency<br \/>\nEffectively employing differentiation strategies for high learning impact<br \/>\nCollaborating in a co-teaching model<br \/>\nTeaching in an international school setting<br \/>\nContributing to student experiences beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree (Master\u2019s preferred)<br \/>\nCurrent and valid teaching license<br \/>\nMinimum three years teaching experience in a similar role<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please note: WBAIS does not sponsor B1 visas.
