We\u2019re looking for a highly skilled Video Editor to join our team at The Times of Israel in our Jerusalem office. If you\u2019re a fast and proficient editor with native-level English, have a strong technical foundation to see a production from start to finish, sharp news judgment, and a keen sense of what flies on social media, this role is for you. <\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Be Doing:
\n-Multi-camera production and editing: You should be fluent in the grammar of multi-cam editing, knowing exactly when and how to make a cut and understand the grammar of this editing style
\n-Footage: You will be responsible for searching for relevant news footage to add to the video version of our podcast reels and to our reporter narrative short takes
\n-Social media clips: Create engaging, fast-paced edits tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
\n-After Effects (Preferred): Basic experience working with After Effects templates and motion graphics in general
\n-English captioning of newsworthy Hebrew videos: A native English speaker is required, as clips will involve translation for an English-speaking audience<\/p>\n
What You Need:
\nExpertise in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
\nA fast workflow and strong technical skills
\nExperience in multi-camera editing
\nSocial media video savvy
\nSharp news judgement and adaptability
\nBasic knowledge of After Effects (preferred)
\nNative-level English <\/p>\n
