Position Objectives
\nThe WBAIS ES Art Teacher Assistant will work with the art teachers and students from EY-G12, as
\nassigned by the ES principal (based on the needs of the students and program.)
\nThe art assistant will be assigned a schedule from the ES principal in coordination with the art
\ndepartment and teachers. Some of the roles and responsibilities are described below, but this can
\nchange as the needs of the program and students change and will be communicated in planning
\nmeetings or written communications. The art assistant will also be responsible for supporting the
\nplayground duties of the elementary school as assigned.<\/p>\n

\n\u25cf Assist children kindergarten through 4th grade in art classes
\n\u25cf Maintain the art room, art supplies, and the kiln room, organize the storeroom, and assist in
\nordering\/putting away materials
\n\u25cf Assist in preparing the class and supplies for the day
\n\u25cf Help set up\/take down art shows, exhibitions, and displays
\n\u25cf Help with the photocopying, framing, and organizing materials
\n\u25cf Take photos of artwork and post to the school website as requested
\n\u25cf Work with the Seesaw and Google Classroom platforms to support students virtually as
\nneeded
\n\u25cf Follow-up with maintenance requests and the set-up of art displays
\n\u25cf Assist in finding and or communicating with suppliers and acquiring supplies when
\nnecessary<\/p>\n

\n\u25cf Strong collaborator with exceptional communication skills
\n\u25cf Some type of experience in the fine arts, including studio classes and art history, preferred
\n\u25cf Computer experience in digital media preferred
\n\u25cf Strong communication skills in English
\n\u25cf Strong Hebrew skills preferred
\n\u25cf Legally eligible to work in Israel<\/span>
\n\u25cf Green pass or vaccination certificate<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Fine Arts, including studio classes and art history
\n\u25cf Computer experience in digital media and Seesaw
\n\u25cf Educational\/teaching experience<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Implement the school’s mission statement
