The Declaration of Independence promises that the State of Israel will be “based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel.” But exactly who were the prophets, what made them prophetic, and
what were their visions? This mini-course will explore these questions and invite us to assess the degree to which the prophetic vision is at work in the Third Jewish Commonwealth.
