‘Jerusalem of Gold’ – about 3,000 years of history in the Old City of Jerusalem

A tour of about 3,000 years of history in the Jewish Quarter and the City of David.

We will start our tour with an observation on the promenade of the Commissioner’s (Hanatziv) Palace towards the Old City, and continue to the north of the Jewish Quarter. We will pass through the ‘wide wall’ built in the days of King Hezekiah in preparation for the siege imposed on the city by the Assyrian king Sennacherib.Continue to the Byzantine Cardo, which was the main street of Jerusalem about 1,400 years ago. Hear about the story of Rabbi Yehuda the Chassid, and the four Sephardic synagogues; discuss the battle in the Jewish Quarter during the War of Independence. We will visit the Western Wall.

Optionial (if there is time) The City of David began its existence in the days of our ancestor Abraham, as a fortified and impressive Canaanite city, about 3,000 years ago, King David decided to leave Hebron and ascend the City of David Hill and make it his capital. A unique tour of the city of kings and prophets. Walking in the light of lanterns in the belly of the earth in the waters of the female Shiloah.

The tour includes: Hanatziv Palace promenade, the Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, Option-City of David.

  2. Maxim bus stop (near Metronit stop) 7:15 bus takes off to Jerusalem

It’s a walking tour – so come with comfortable shoes (no sandals, no flip-flops.. etc. )

A hat, water, food for the day, comfortable clothes, must have also modest outfit for the holly places and the Kotel.
