Comics Museum and Design Museum – Holon

Visit to Cartoon Museum and Design Museum, Holon – Thursday, February 2, 2023

Our first stop will be at the Caricature/Cartoon Museum, 61 Haim Weizman Street, Holon, for a one-hour guided tour in English. The tour will start promptly at 4 pm.

You can arrive 10 minutes before the tour to look around, but the museum will not be open before then.

After the tour we will promptly make our way to the Design Museum of Holon, Pinkhas Eilon St 8, Holon, in the beautiful round orange building opposite the Holon Mall. You have the option of walking there from the Comics Museum (I am told it is a 15 minute walk but I will allow myself more time), or go by taxi, bus, or car. You should arrive at the Design Museum at 5:45 pm.

At the Design Museum we will have a 45 minute tour in English of the highly acclaimed Dream Factory exhibit featuring the late Alber Elbaz, the international fashion legend and Israel’s most successful fashion designer. The tour will begin promptly at 6 pm. You will have some time to look around after the tour.

Parking: There is a huge parking lot right next to the Design Museum at the Mediatheque (behind the building on Alona Peer Street). Parking at the Comics Museum might be more difficult. There are plenty of eating options near the Design Museum, including in the nearby Holon Mall.

• If you are a senior citizen, and, if so, list your Israeli ID number (both museums require a list of names and ID numbers for senior citizens)
• If you are registering for both museums.
• Please also provide your phone number

Due to the museums’ cancellation policies, I will be closing registration on Tuesday, January 24, because I must know by then if we have enough people for the tours. Both tours can take place only if we reach the minimum number of participants required.

Payment will be to me by BIT upon registration.

If you have to cancel for any reason, refunds will only be given until January 26, since after that time I will be charged by the museum for the group rate.

Cartoon Museum: NIS 12.50 for senior citizens

Design Museum: NIS 37.50 for senior citizens

Total cost for both tours: NIS 50 for senior citizens

Price is calculated for a group of 20, and will be adjusted if there is a different number of participants
