SUMMARY:After the Vote: Israel’s Political Future and the Global Battle Over Its Image (Tribe Tel Aviv)
DESCRIPTION:After the Vote: Israel’s Political Future and the Global Battle Over Its Image\nWhat: Book Launch and Post-Election Talk\nWhen: Wednesday, Nov 4, 7-9 pm\nWhere: Mazeh 9, Tel Aviv\nWho: Young Adults in their 20s & 30s only\nCost: 25 NIS includes wine\nRSVP: Must RSVP\nAbout the Event:\nWe begin with a post election breakdown and then get into a behind-the-scenes look into why Israel was caught unprepared on the media battlefield after October 7th. We examine how Israel’s enemies were so ready to strike in the narrative war, both in Israel and the United States. The book also gives 30 practical tips on how people can use social media and AI platforms to help ease the current challenges for American Jews and make things better. Hoffman’s friends Noa Tishby and Natan Sharansky wrote the Forward and the endorsement on the back of the book.\nAbout The Speaker:\nGil Hoffman is a veteran Israeli-American journalist who covered politics for The Jerusalem Post for nearly a quarter century and revitalized the pro-Israel media watchdog HonestReporting as its executive director and executive editor.\nHe analyzes Israeli politics on i24NEWS, writes the Jerusalem Post’s “Eye on the Media” column, and teaches international communications and political psychology and strategy at Israel’s College of Management. Hoffman recently became the first speaker in history to have lectured about Israel in all fifty states. Raised in Chicago, Hoffman graduated Magna cum laude from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism before moving to Jerusalem, where he lives with his family.\nAbout the Location, Mazeh 9:\nThe building was designed in the International Style by architect Pinchas Hitt in 1946 for the “Israel Land Gas Company Ltd.” as an office building above a commercial floor and is protected under the conservation plan “Preservation 2650 b”.\nAbout Our Organization: Tribe Tel Aviv\nTribe Tel Aviv’s vision is to offer opportunities for young Jews in Tel Aviv to engage in Jewish life and learning in an open and friendly community of like-minded peers. We believe Jewish tradition and wisdom can inform and enrich our fast-paced lives, and enhance our role in contributing to Tel Aviv’s Jewish character and to the building of Israel as a Jewish state. Be part of the flourishing of Jewish life in Tel Aviv and a revitalization of the Zionist enterprise. Tribe Tel Aviv’s mission is to take the next step forward and cultivate the existing and diverse community of English-speakers into a more cohesive community centered around Jewish life, because after all, Judaism is a team sport.\nWeb: www.Tribe.org.il\nEmail: TLV@Tribe.org.il\nFollow: www.facebook.com/tribe.org.il\n\n
