DESCRIPTION:Discover an ancient city with spectacular views over the Kinneret.\nJoin us for a fascinating guided day trip to Sussita (Hippos) National Park, an extraordinary archaeological site overlooking the Sea of Galilee.\nExplore the remains of a city that flourished from the Hellenistic period through Roman and Byzantine times, before being destroyed by a major earthquake in 749 CE and abandoned. Our tour will be led by certified Israeli tour guide Dr. Diana Barshaw, who brings her background in ecology and extensive knowledge of Israel’s landscapes and trails to the experience.\nAfter Sussita, we will continue to the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Holy Apostles at Capernaum, followed by time for a picnic lunch.
