He will share his personal experiences being in the life of fire, the heroic stories of IDF medics, and the life-saving techniques developed by the IDF during the war. His book, Heroes of Palmar: How One IDF Unit Revolutionized Combat Medicine in Gaza by Dr Tuvia Book offers a concise yet impactful account of an often unseen aspect of modern warfare: the urgent, improvised, and heroic efforts of combat medics striving to save soldiers’ lives amid the chaos of battle.\nAbout The Speaker\nDr Book is an IDF medic who has spent 688 days in the army since October 7yh, 2023 saving injured soldiers’ lives. He is a published author, elite combat vet, an accomplished educator, popular lecturer and licensed tour guide. His two books, “Jewish Journeys” (Koren) detail the history of the Jewish People during the First and Second Temple periods. He has also written, and illustrated, the acclaimed “For the Sake of Zion, a Curriculum of Israel Education” (Koren) currently in its fifth edition. His latest book about his IDF combat medical extraction unit is, “Heroes of Palmar, How One IDF Unit Revolutionized Combat Medicine” (Gefen: 2026).
