Pre-Aliyah from the US or Canada
Open a Tik Aliyah with the Jewish Agency
To do so, you will need to contact your local Jewish Agency Shaliach. He/she will tell you what you need to bring to open a tik aliyah. For a list of shlichim in the US and Canada, click here.
Download and submit an NBN application

Finding a program
NBN Advisors: Student Department - Email the advisors in the NBN Student Department at nbnstudents@nbn.org.il for guidance on particular academic and Jewish learning programs, what to expect in each, and connections on campuses.
NBN Advisors: Employment Department - Email the NBN Employment Department at employment@nbn.org.il. They will put you in contact with professionals in your field so you can learn about your field in the Israeli job market and find a job. Also see NBN's employment fields page for insight into some viable fields in Israel.
The Student Authority (Minhal HaStudentim)
The Student Authority is a branch of the Israeli government located in the Office of Immigrant Absorption (Misrad HaKlita). It is specifically designed to assist immigrant students through their university experience.

Apply to your program
Be sure to check with universities regarding application deadlines. Deadlines may vary for each department, even within the same university.
Open a Student File
Once Aliyah is approved and you have received notification of acceptance into your academic program, submit an application to open a Student File (Tik Student) through the Student Authority.

to confirm the status of your application.
