Hakshiva
Based on the needs of the community, Hakshiva developed three distinct programs for families who live in Ramat Beit Shemesh. The Individual Mentoring Program provides children ages 10-14 with adult mentors who meet each week. These mentors provide a warm supportive listening ear for the child and the relationship can be a powerful catalyst for positive growth.
Group mentoring programs are suited for the needs of teenagers who are not willing to enter into an individual mentoring relationship. Hakshiva offers a Girls Group Mentoring Program to support teen girls, and the Anglo Teen Program to support teen boys.
Hakshiva's Parental Support Program provides assistance in various areas to parents of teens. Hakshiva's on-staff social worker provides support and an objective point of reference to help parents navigate many difficult issues they face with their teens. In addition, Hakshiva sponsors lectures and workshops that benefit the entire community.
