New Immigrant buying a home in Israel
A new immigrant, may enjoy an Acquisition Tax benefit of 0.5% tax rate for purchasing a residential home within 7 years after taking up Israeli residence or 1 year prior to her arrival. The 0.5% tax rate applies to the initial portion of the home valued at NIS 1,165,670 and an additional 5% tax rate will apply for the remaining portion valued over NIS 1,165, 670.
