To mark today's Canada Day and
Monday's American Independence Day, branches of the
Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel are gearing
up for barbecues, celebrations and reunions.
On July
4, the Netanya branch will be hosting an indoor barbecue to
mark the two national holidays, featuring a team of grill
experts at 7 P.M.
The event will take place at the
organization's Render-Dow Auditorium and will also feature
American songs led by Zvi Swerdlove and Jenny
Frank.

Also next week, on Thursday
afternoon, the AACI Jerusalem branch will he holding its
annual national North American bash.
This will be held
in the capital at the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens near the
city's new train station.
Nefesh B'Nefesh
reunion
The event, which will also feature live
musical performances and a Nefesh B'Nefesh reunion, will off
old-fashioned potato sack races, a tug-of-war and face
painting and origami events. Representatives from the United
States and Canadian embassies will be present, as will members
of the Color Guard, an organization of Jewish American war
veterans.
Parties for Independence Day, featuring live
classic American rock, will be held on July 4 at Mike's Place
at both its Tel Aviv and Jerusalem branches.
