500 N. American olim set to arrive Wednesday

Two El Al flights with some 500 olim (immigrants) from the U.S. and Canada are scheduled to arrive in Israeli simultaneously Wednesday, marking the largest arrival of North American Jews at one time in Israel’s history.

Government officials led by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon are set to greet the arrivals. The groups are sponsored by American aliyah organization Nefesh B’Nefesh. (Ynetnews)
