(IsraelNN.com) The Nefesh B'Nefesh
(NBN) organization which promotes aliyah (immigration to
Israel) is hoping the current elections will not prevent the
government from carrying out a decision to boost funding for
aliyah.
The Cabinet this week decided to directly fund
aliyah organizations, and NBN is first in line to receive the
aid. Organization officials said the elections may cause a
change in government funding because of the campaign issue of
assistance low-income Israelis.
NBN executive vice
president Danny Oberman said that government funding would
allow the group to give financial aid to more people wanting
to moved to Israel and to spend more money to promote
aliyah.
