Finance Minister Olmert to Greet Nefesh

(IsraelNN.com) On Wednesday, August
17th, Finance Minister Ehud Olmert will be on hand to meet the
latest Nefesh B’Nefesh flight of new immigrants
from North America.
The El Al flight carrying the new
arrivals will be painted with the winning design of a national
logo contest for Nefesh, bringing with it some 250 North
Americans moving to Israel. This flight marks the fifth out of
six specially designated flights bringing nearly 2000 North
Americans to Israel this summer through Nefesh B'Nefesh and
the Jewish Agency for Israel.
New Orleans-born Chaviva
Sands’ design entitled "Aliyah" was declared winner in the
unanimous decision by an international panel of judges who
called the entry an "outstanding logo design by a young
person."
The 12-year-old budding artist's design-based
on the theme of "Homeward Bound"- has been painted onto a
chartered plane. The first prize included round trip flights
for the winning artist, her parent and school principal. The
