Nefesh B'Nefesh Aliyah Services

Nefesh B’Nefesh, provides olim with financial assistance, employment resources, social services and guidance through governmental absorption, in order to help make each individual’s Aliyah as successful as possible. Below is a brief description of the services and resources available to olim.

Financial
The financial commitment of pilot trips, securing a home, acquiring and shipping household appliances and furnishings, and lost income during the whole process is discouraging. Often it takes a young family several years to earn and save enough funds necessary for the move. By the time the requisite amount is saved, invariably the children are at an age that makes a move difficult socially, linguistically, and educationally. To obviate these fiscal obstacles, Nefesh B'Nefesh will accordingly provide significant financial assistance to eligible Aliyah candidates to enable them to make their dream of Aliyah a reality. All financial assistance provided to each Aliyah candidate will be vested after a three year period upon arrival to Israel. If the candidate emigrates from Israel within three years, the candidate will be obligated to return the financial assistance (grant) to Nefesh B'Nefesh.

Pre-Aliyah
The Pre-Aliyah department is your first step when inquiring about Aliyah. If you have questions regarding the process of applying for Israeli citizenship, need clarification regarding NBN's scope of assistance to you or would like to talk to someone about application requirements, planning your pilot trip, grant contracts or aliyah flights, the Pre-Aliyah department is ready to assist you.

Guidance and Community Resources
The Guidance and Community Resources Department of Nefesh B’Nefesh is there to provide our olim with support, guidance and resources to help them navigate the challenges they may encounter as new immigrants. We do so by offering personal guidance and information for Olim, as well as projects such as our Buddy Program, Guidance Seminars, and Newsletters. Through our support we hope to facilitate the critical Post-Aliyah task of integration into Israeli society. Department of Guidance and Community Resources

Group & Charter Aliyah Flights and Expedited Processing
NBN Olim fly to Israel together on either charter or group Aliyah flights. Charter flights refer to those flights exclusively chartered for Nefesh B'Nefesh Olim, while group flights refer to a reserved block of seats on a regularly scheduled EL AL flight. Making Aliyah together with hundreds of fellow Olim not only provides an inspiring and emotional experience, but also facilitates more efficient processing vis-à-vis government offices. Officials from The Ministry of the Interior (Misrad Hapnim) are on board processing paperwork, saving Olim the trip to government offices upon their arrival.
