Michael Eisenberg & Ilan Regenbaum
Michael is an equal partner at Aleph, an early stage venture capital fund with $334 million under management, focused on serving Israeli entrepreneurs who want to build large, scalable, global businesses. Aleph has invested in 12 companies including WeWork, Houseparty, Lemonade, Windward and Honeybook.Prior to Aleph, Michael was a general partner at Benchmark Capital which he joined in July 2005 and continues as the partner responsible for Benchmark’s Israeli portfolio. Michael has focused on Internet investments since 1995 and has invested in and sat on the board of Israel’s leading companies and startups, such as Shopping.com (Nasdaq SHOP, acquired by EBAY), Conduit, SeekingAlpha, Gigya, WeWork, Wix (Nasdaq WIX), Answers.com(Nasdaq ANSW), Tradeum (acquired: VERT), and Picturevison (acquired: EK). Michael also serves on a few education-oriented non-profit boards and lectures frequently on the topics of Venture Capital, Israel and Entrepreneurship. Michael lives in Jerusalem with his wife and eight children.
Ilan, a lone soldier in the IDF, serves as Head of Business Development in the Air Force’s Innovation Department working to build a culture of innovation in the military. He is also a VC investor at Elevator Fund, where he manages dealflow and operations for the fund. Before that, he founded and ran three of his own startups, and managed business development at another Israeli startup. He grew up in Atlanta, GA, is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa and is an avid photographer, skier, and runner. He blogs at VenturingCapitalist.com.
Devora serves as the COO and CFO of dynamic bio-med start-up Talkitt which focuses on social impact and helping the disabled to communicate using their own voice. Besides her dynamic work at Voiceitt, Devora enjoys mentoring startups and executives as well as women in general, helping them develop their skills, pitch, vision, communication, and secure funding opportunities to make their dreams a reality.
Devora made Aliyah from Toronto in 1990 as a teenager with her family, left after her national service in 1996 and returned ten years later on the August 16th, 2006 Nefesh B’Nefesh flight. She lives with her five kids in Efrat and in her spare time enjoys running, salsa dancing and blogging for the Times of Israel.
Sivan is the Founder & CEO of Innovation: Africa. Born in Israel and raised in France, Sivan has been working in Africa for close to 20 years. Her experience on the African continent began while working with a major multinational corporation in 1999. Following two years in the finance world, Sivan worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on diesel energy development. During this period, she identified an opportunity for a more sustainable energy solution, and developed the groundwork for what would become Innovation: Africa. Sivan graduated summa cum laude with a degree in finance from Pace University and holds a Master’s degree in International Energy Management and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Sivan has received countless awards for her work on behalf of Innovation: Africa from The United Nations, The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation, The Wharton School, and the Young Professionals Organization (YPO) to name a few. Sivan lives in Tel Aviv with her husband and three children.
Moe runs business development for Hometalk, where he developed social partnerships that have driven more than 50 million visits to the site and is now spearheading the company’s strategic foray into e-commerce. Moe mentors budding entrepreneurs at a technology accelerator and previously worked as a Strategy Consultant for Deloitte (Tel Aviv, Israel) and as the Regional Director for The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation (Hamburg, Germany). Moe holds an International MBA and Rabbinical Ordination, and he is the author of the newly released book, The Gift of Stuttering (Mosaica Press, 2016).
