Apply now for a Ma’alot Israel Education and Advocacy grant

A joint project of the USCJ Israel Commission and Nefesh B’Nefesh
The Israel Commission of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism is excited to announce the fourth year of the Ma’alot grant program aimed at involving kehillot (sacred communities) in the process of deepening their connection with Israel. The purpose of the grants is to expose members of the USCJ community to opportunities that promote Israel education, engagement and advocacy.

We invite you to apply for a Ma’alot grant of up to $2,500. Grants are to be used for direct program costs related to engagement opportunities, Israel advocacy, pre- or post-Israel travel programs, community events, lectures or forums. Preference will be given towards selecting high quality, high impact projects that connect your members with organized Israel travel or study experience.

The first step in applying for a Ma’a lot grant is to let us know that you are interested. Please fill out an “Intent to Apply” form HERE [http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22EAXJGMT57]. You will be asked to provide contact information for the person in your kehilla who will be responsible for submitting your Ma’alot grant proposal and budget. Your contact person will be sent application guidelines and forms.

The deadline for submitting an “Intent to Apply” form is February 20, 2012. The final deadline for completed applications is March 1, 2012.
