Nefesh B’Nefesh is proud to announce a Go North Aliyah application for
US and Canadian citizens. Prospective Olim will now be able to apply for Nefesh B’Nefesh services AND Aliyah approval from the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) in one application.
The new application, is interactive and offers live chat support during work hours. All documents (birth certificates, passports, etc) can be scanned and attached to the relevant sections of the application. Each Aliyah applicant will receive a password which will enable them to log on to a personal web page and check the status of their application.
The new One-Stop Aliyah Application is a joint venture of Nefesh B’Nefesh and the Jewish Agency for Israel, designed to simplify the Aliyah process. For those planning Aliyah from North America in 2009, the online application will be a significant time saver.
For those who prefer to submit a written application, a PDF application is available for download.
An interview will be required, as well as presentation of original documents. Additional document certification may also be requested in certain cases. A Jewish Agency Aliyah Shaliach will be present at the Nefesh B'Nefesh One-to-One meetings in North America as a part of the One Stop initiative.
Those applicants who have already opened a tik Aliyah with a Jewish Agency Aliyah Shaliach, will be able to complete the Aliyah approval process with their Shaliach until March 31, 2009. A separate application (online or written) will need to be submitted to NBN in order to apply for NBN assistance. Those making Aliyah after March and who have not yet opened a tik Aliyah with the Jewish Agency OR whose tik Aliyah will not be approved by March 31, 2009, will need to complete the One-Stop application in its entirety.
