Letter of Good Standing

The Medical Professionals Licensing Division issues a Letter of Good Standing for medical professionals who hold a license or a certificate recognizing standing, who are interested in receiving one. This certificate is usually required of medical professionals applying for advanced training, specialization, or to practice their profession overseas.

The certificate confirms that the professional holds a license or certificate recognizing standing in his/her profession in Israel, and that he/she may practice his/her profession and/or specialization in the State of Israel. The certificate also confirms that there have been no claims of negligence or professional ethics against the medical professional.

The certificate is provided to medial professionals entitled to it.

The certificate is written in English.

Note: This is not a letter of good standing relating to involvement in criminal activity. Such a certificate is provided by the police.

In order to obtain the Letter of Good Standing, an applicant for the certificate must apply in writing directly to the director of the Medical Professions Licensing Division.
