Ulpan Options in the U.S.

Many communities in the U.S. and Canada offer Ulpan courses. For more information about ulpanim in your area, please contact your local UJA Federation office or JCC. You can find a JCC by clicking here.  For a listing of Federations, please click here.

In the greater New York City area, you find information about Ulpan courses at http://www.ha-ulpan.org. Ha-Ulpan offers five convenient locations and multiple levels. Intensive summer courses are available.

In addition, local colleges and universities frequently provide both classroom instruction and individual tutoring resources. In some programs, the cost of the tutoring is heavily subsidized for students who meet eligibility requirements.

London Ulpanim and Private Hebrew Lessons

• Ulpan courses run by the by the Jewish Agency for Israel in London: Pre-Aliyah Ulpan, 8 sessions, twice weekly, for beginners and intermediates. Ulpan for Young Adults, 10 sessions and two Israeli cultural events, for beginners, intermediates and advanced. Cost: 60 pounds per course; for Olim on our group flights, courses are free of charge.
