Retirement consultants offer assistance in identifying living solutions for the elderly, whether in a Beit Avot (old age home), independent senior living center, Diur Mugan (assisted living facility) or Teshushai Nefesh (mentally frail facility). As part of their services, they offer the following kinds of assistance:

• Provide information on benefits that may be available to clients through Misrad Habriut (Ministry of Health) or Bituach Leumi (National Insurance) for home care (Chok Siud). (Click here for more information.)

Before contacting a retirement consultant, we recommend that you assess your financial situation, so that the consultant can work effectively in directing you to an appropriate placement. Keep in mind that facilities vary greatly in terms of their price and the type of services they provide.

When possible, it is best to come on a pilot trip several months prior to Aliyah to look into the various living options, accompanied by a consultant. Children of Olim who are unable to make a pilot trip are encouraged to utilize the services of consultants both in order to explore options for their parents, and throughout the negotiation process (with a specific living facility).

Israel's oldest and leading center is engaged in consultation and referrals to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and caregivers. Urim Center was founded in order to provide the elderly and their families with assistance and guidance, whenever the need for a suitable and professional care solution arises.
