Checklist: Aliyah Flight

Documents to Bring on the Flight

  • Birth Certificates
  • Passports
  • Civil Marriage/Divorce/ Death Certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of Judaism or Conversion Documents (if applicable)
  • Lease for home in Israel
  • Shipping contract and packing list
  • Diplomas/Professional licenses
  • Medical records
  • Dental records
  • Financial records (stock certificates, etc.)
Which Documents Will I Be Asked to Present?

Misrad Hapnim (Ministry of Interior) sometimes requests to see original documents at the time of your Aliyah processing. In the event that Misrad Hapnim officials request to see original documents, and in order to ensure the fastest and most efficient processing, we recommend bringing the following original documents with you on the flight. Here is an explanation of what you may need:

  • Single Oleh: Proof of Judaism, Birth Certificate (please make sure that your parents’ names appear on the Birth Certificate)
  • Divorcee: Proof of Judaism, Birth Certificate, Divorce Certificate
  • Katin Chozer (Born in Israel and left before the age of 14): Birth Certificate, Civil Marriage/Divorce Certificate, plus apostille (if applicable)
  • Ezrach Oleh (Israeli citizen born abroad):Proof of Judaism (required only if mother is NOT Israeli), Birth Certificate, Civil Marriage/Divorce Certificate, plus apostille (if applicable)

Things to Consider

  • If you are an Israeli citizen or held temporary resident (A/1) status in the past, and your marital status has changed since you last resided in Israel, please make sure you have apostille certification on all documents pertaining to any status changes since that time.
  • We recommend that you bring extra passport photos with you. You never know when you might need them!
