A New Program: Start Your Licensing Before Aliyah

Misrad Habriut (Ministry of Health) has started a pilot program, whereby potential Olim can begin the licensing process prior to making Aliyah. In order to qualify for this program, applicants must have Aliyah approval from the Jewish Agency.

It is important to note that your documents must be translated and notarized by an Israeli notary in Israel. If you visit Israel prior to your Aliyah, this is a good opportunity to have your documents authorized by an Israeli notary and even submitted to Misrad Habriut.

Your license can only be issued after you receive a Teudat Zehut and submit a notarized copy of it to Misrad Habriut.

Please submit a true copy of your current passport together with your application to Misrad Habriut. A true copy indicates that a lawyer or notary saw the original. The passport does NOT have to be translated and notarized; this is only a signature.

You will also need to submit a letter from Nefesh B’Nefesh indicating that you have received Aliyah approval. To obtain this letter, email: lizi@nbn.org.il

Taking Licensing Exams as a Tourist

It is also possible to take licensing exams while you are still a tourist. Please note that the exam is only valid for three years, from your exam date. In order to obtain the license, you must present your Teudat Zehut once you have made Aliyah.

If you are planning on taking the exam as a tourist, please have the following affidavit signed by a lawyer.
