Manof


Manof is located in the central Galil, a beautiful and well tended community village situated on Mount Shechaniya. It was established in 1980 by a core group of South African immigrants, as well as English-speaking and Israeli families. Manof is unique in its wide and varied community activities, and offers its residents a well-developed community life. Residents are actively involved in volunteer work ranging from the physical development of the village to arranging celebrations of Jewish festivals and other cultural events.

Adjacent to Manof is an industrial park with 3,000 meters of office space, 2,000 meters of workshops, and with a capacity for 10,000 meters of environmentally clean industries.

Education / Youth
There is an educational framework for preschool children within the community, that includes a toddler's nursery up until a pre-school kindergarten. Elementary school children attend the Har Shechanya elementary school, located a short distance away.

Wide-ranging youth activities are organized by a youth leader together with the local youth committee. A varied range of social activities are organized during the summer vacation and during the festivals.

Transportation
Manof sits just a 10 minute drive from the Misgav center, 20 minutes from Carmiel and 40 minutes from Haifa.

Amenities / Services
The community boasts a Hebrew and English library, a well-stocked mini-market, a sports court and even a childrens' petting zoo.

Community and Religious Life
The village has 150 families, with 210 children under the age of 18. The community hopes to grow in size to a total of 350 families.

Manof's community synagogue hosts regular services on weekends and Jewish festivals.
