Kiryat Tivon

Kiryat Tivon is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Haifa, on the ruins of the Second Temple period city of Bet Shearim, in the hills between Emek Yizrael and Emek Zvulun. With a population of slightly over 17,000, Tivon is a 70-year-old, quiet and well-established picturesque suburban community, characterized by an abundance of greenery, private homes, small apartment buildings and excellent municipal services. It is conveniently located near Haifa, Yokneam, Migdal Haemek and Nazeret Illit, which all offer a wide choice of employment opportunities, and is about 15 minutes away from the Ein Tut entrance to Highway 6. Tivon is home to unique and friendly shopping facilities, including supermarkets and eateries (some of which are Kosher).

The town is also known for the national park, Beit Shearim, which borders the community on the southwest. During the Roman period, Beit Shearim was an important Jewish spiritual center and necropolis, which once served as the seat of the Sanhedrin.
