Kiryat Moshe

Kiryat Moshe was one of the garden suburbs established in Jerusalem in the 1920s by the Moses Montefiore Foundation. It is a tree-lined, residential neighborhood that is a wonderful community for Chardal (Charedi National Religious) and Charedi families.

Community and Religious Life
Kiryat Moshe is generally thought of as a Chardal community, although individuals who identify as both Chareidi and secular, reside here as well. The area is becoming increasingly popular with young families and couples. Residents seem to maintain harmonious, accepting relationships. The population is truly diverse, made up of native Israelis, French Olim, Sephardim and Ashkenazim, and a steadily increasing number of English-speakers.

The neighborhood is home to many Yeshivot and synagogues.
