Leo Baeck

The school (with a staff of over 400 members) truly has the atmosphere of a university, with a huge library complete with wireless internet, a large Beit Midrash, beautiful sports fields, three swimming pools, a weight room, a huge gym, a yoga studio, three auditoriums, and extensive science and art labratories. The school also houses the community's cultural and sports centers which are used by all residents of the area, and a Reform Synagogue, Ohel Avraham. The school espouses a liberal approach towards education which is apparent in the academic and extra-curricular programming. It is affiliated with the Reform movement. Jewish programming in the school reflects the philosophy of the movement.
Students in the elementary school are required either to join in prayers every morning, or else to participate in another spiritual experience during this time. Prayer is optional in the middle and high school, although there are monthly Rosh Chodesh programs in which all students must participate.
An extensive number of majors are offered in the high school including: physics, chemistry, German, music, business, psychology, and theater. There is a a "gifted" track for students in 7th through 12th grades.
