2012 Negev/Galil Aliyah Program

The Ministry of Absorption has renewed the Negev/Galil Aliyah Program, giving incentives to Olim making Aliyah to specific communities in both the Go North and Southern regions of Israel. For a full list see below.

The Ministry of Absorption has renewed the Negev/Galil Aliyah Program, giving incentives to Olim making Aliyah to specific communities in both the Go North and Southern regions of Israel. For a full list see below.

Benefits Offered:

  • Rental assistance- comprised of monthly rebates of up to 1200 NIS per family. This will be paid every three months for the first year.
  • Ulpan completion grant- a payment of 3000 NIS (per family) if one adult successfully completes Ulpan Aleph. This is paid after your eighth month of Aliyah.
  • Educational activities- programming provided by the local Klitah project manager. Limited funds may be available for diagnostic testing (up to 2000 NIS).

Criteria for Participation:

  • Applicable to families who make Aliyah between April 1, 2012 and December 25, 2012. One spouse must be between the ages of 21 and 57.
  • Residency must be in one of the targeted communities for a continuous period of at least 12 months. A rental contract must be presented.

  • Bayit Rishon Program in the Galil (First Homeland in Israel)
  • Karmiel
  • Emek HaYarden Region
  • Emek Yizrael Region
  • Upper Galil Region
  • Katzrin
  • Ma’alot
  • Migdal HaEmek
  • Nahariya
  • Netzrat Ilit
  • Tzfat
  • Tveriya

Participating Communities in the South:

  • Arad
  • Beer Sheva
  • Dimona
  • Bayit Rishon Kibbutzim (First Homeland in Israel)
  • Shaar HaNegev Region
  • Eshkol Region
  • Ramat HaNegev Region

This program is run by The Jewish Agency for Israel and the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption. Olim must apply to the program prior to their Aliyah. To apply, contact Michele Kaplan-Green at michele@nbn.org.il. The program is limited in size and subject to change.
